Home Instead Reigate and Tandridge provide non-medical, companionship led support designed to enable people to continue to live in the comfort and security of their own home for as long as possible. We provide our CAREGivers with unique and comprehensive training enabling them to support the equally unique individuals to whom they are matched by way of shared interests and backgrounds. The same CAREGiver will visit on a regular basis, for a minimum of two hours, enabling trusting and secure relationships to develop over time. This understanding relationship is at the heart of what we do.
The services we provide can vary from a trip out to the shops enabling Dad to personally select that particular cheese he likes which he can’t remember the name of, or a trip to the coast for a day’s fishing, or going to the garden centre for a browse and coffee to simply playing a favourite game or sitting and having a chat about shared interests or old photos accompanied by a cup of tea and a biscuit. The possibilities are endless and clients are enabled to continue to do the things they enjoy. Where specialist care is needed, for example when a loved one has dementia, Home Instead are recognised for our expertise. Our two hour minimum visit and consistency of CAREGiver are designed to support people with dementia and similar conditions; in addition CAREGivers are provided with all the information they need to enable them to support someone with whom they are matched who has a particular condition.
Meal preparation, help around the home, personal care, help with paying bills, medication reminders and alike can all be incorporated too. Please just tell us what you need help with and we promise we will do our absolute best to help.
I am Greg Brown and the owner of Home Instead Reigate and Tandridge. I started the business because I have seen first-hand the wonderful, valuable difference it can make to the lives of families and individuals when care and support is delivered the way it should be – unrushed, in a spirit of kindness and human connection with regard for a person’s dignity and independence.
Too many organisations appear to care more about monetary profit than the vulnerable people who they are meant to be helping; we are proud to go against the grain. Yes, we must be a properly run profitable business to enable us to pursue our mission to change the face of ageing, but money is not as important as the well-being of those we support and comes as a reward for doing the right thing.
We are very proud to be different.
If you think Home Instead might be what you have been looking for and would like an unhurried talk with someone who genuinely cares, please do not hesitate to phone. If you would prefer, we are happy to come to you for an informal chat about how we might be able to help, or you are welcome to come and meet us at our office.
